Description:
This very fine Khotan carpet uses an allover medallion pattern and dense earth tones in the foundations of its themes and figures. Eight rows of either five or six floral figures dominate the field of white, with infinitesimally small vines and flowers weaving around them to fill in the pattern. The many surrounding borders of red, brown, and tan frame the lighter field perfectly. A fine addition to any collection.
