This Karabagh depicts a beautiful prayer niche in blue. Its layered borders contain many colorful and detailed patterns, particularly in the white border. The royal blue at its center blends into the corners with a curling arm pattern and a lighter shade. Each corner bears its own, singly flower. Karabagh carpets are more similar to Persian carpets in design and color scheme than more local Caucasus rugs, commonly using motifs of dragons, eagles, and serpents.
