Description

This abstract design eschews the need of a border and instead focuses on managing consistency. Each latch hooked diamond contrasts its color with another from the others by reaching into its surroundings with hooks. This dividing line creates a synthesis of the two, emboldening them both in the viewer’s eyes. The sheer amount of color in this carpet is almost overwhelming, but the weaver managed to combine them skillfully enough that the result is a pleasant mix.
