Faded by age, this magnificent Konya uses the usual styles of its frame. There is a large central medallion which has lost much of its color, but remains in the design of the weaver, nestled between rigid cornerpieces and rusted reds. The only companions left to the weaver’s pattern seems to be a few lines of brown and wispy blue. To take home this piece is to claim a tiny slice of history.
