This Antique Mudjar clearly shows its age through faded colors but has lost none of its brilliant structure. There is a very fine geometric pattern laid out in white and gold, forming a near replica of a prayer niche. The border details a series of curling leaves that weave in and out of areas faded and fresh. The field is bright and red and empty, deflecting the activity of the fringes of the carpet.
